Scott Perry

Scott Perry is a Republican U.S. Representative representing Pennsylvania's 10th Congressional District, first elected to Congress in 2012. He was born in San Diego, California, and moved to Pennsylvania at age seven. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Management from Pennsylvania State University in 1991 and a Master of Science in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2012. Before his election to Congress, Perry served three terms in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2007 to 2013. Perry's professional background includes co-founding the mechanical contracting firm Hydrotech Mechanical Services and a long military career. He enlisted in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard in 1980 and served for nearly 40 years, retiring as a Brigadier General in 2019. His service included a deployment to Iraq, where he flew combat missions as a pilot. In Congress, he has been a prominent member of the House Freedom Caucus, serving as its chairman from 2022 to 2024. Throughout his tenure in the U.S. House, Perry has served on the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He has focused on issues such as government oversight, transportation policy, and fiscal conservatism. He currently resides in York County, Pennsylvania, with his wife and two daughters.

Perry is known for his fiscally conservative positions, advocating for a Balanced Budget Amendment, lower taxes, and reduced government spending and regulation.
