W. Steube

William Gregory "Greg" Steube is a Republican politician representing Florida's 17th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Born in Bradenton, Florida, he earned a B.S. in Animal Science in 2000 and a Juris Doctor in 2003, both from the University of Florida. Following the September 11 attacks, Steube enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as an Airborne Infantry Officer and later as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General's (JAG) Corps. He deployed to Iraq from 2006 to 2007 with the 25th Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom and concluded his active duty service in 2008. Steube's political career began in the Florida House of Representatives, where he served from 2010 to 2016, followed by a term in the Florida Senate from 2016 to 2018. He was first elected to the U.S. Congress in November 2018 and took office on January 3, 2019. During his tenure, he has served on committees such as the House Committee on Ways and Means and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, focusing on conservative advocacy for Florida's agricultural and small business sectors.

Representative Steube's policy positions are rooted in conservative and 'America First' principles.
