Dusty Johnson

Dusty Johnson is the U.S. Representative for South Dakota's at-large congressional district, serving since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018. Johnson earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Dakota and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Kansas. His professional background includes serving as a policy advisor to Governor Mike Rounds and working as a vice president for Vantage Point Solutions, an engineering and consulting firm. Johnson's public service career includes being elected to the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission in 2004, where he served until 2011. He later served as the Chief of Staff for Governor Dennis Daugaard from 2011 to 2014. In Congress, he has become a prominent voice on agricultural and transportation issues, currently serving on the House Committee on Agriculture and the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. He is also a leader within the Republican Main Street Caucus, where he focuses on pragmatic conservative policy solutions.
