Mary Miller

Mary Elizabeth Miller is a Republican politician and farmer serving as the U.S. Representative for Illinois's 15th congressional district. First elected in 2020 and assuming office on January 3, 2021, she succeeded retiring incumbent John Shimkus. Miller is a fourth-generation farmer who co-manages a cattle and grain farm near Oakland, Illinois, alongside her husband, Chris Miller. She attended Eastern Illinois University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in business management and completed graduate coursework in education to receive an Illinois teaching certification. In the House of Representatives, Miller serves on the Committees on Agriculture, Education and the Workforce, and House Administration. She is the founder and chair of the Congressional Family Caucus and is an active member of the House Freedom Caucus and the Republican Study Committee. Her legislative work frequently emphasizes rural community support, family farm protection, and conservative social and fiscal policies.
