Stephanie Bice

Stephanie Bice is a fourth-generation Oklahoman who serves as the U.S. Representative for Oklahoma's 5th Congressional District. A member of the Republican Party, she was first elected to Congress in 2020, defeating incumbent Kendra Horn. Before her election to the U.S. House, Bice served in the Oklahoma State Senate from 2014 to 2020, where she rose to the position of Assistant Majority Floor Leader and chaired the Senate Finance Committee. She gained recognition in the state legislature for modernizing Oklahoma's liquor laws, the first major overhaul since the repeal of prohibition in the state. Bice holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing with a minor in international business from Oklahoma State University. Prior to her career in public service, she spent nearly 20 years in the private sector, including eight years in financial oversight and business strategy for her family's technology company and later as vice president of business development for a digital marketing agency. In Congress, she has held leadership roles such as President of the Republican Freshman Class in the 117th Congress, making her the first woman to hold that position. She currently serves on the House Appropriations Committee.

Bice is a fiscal conservative who emphasizes cutting federal spending and eliminating government waste to address the national debt. She has frequently advocated for American energy independence, supporting Oklahoma's oil and gas industry and opposing federal regulations that she argues hinder domestic production. On immigration, Bice supports increased funding for border security infrastructure and technology, and she has been a vocal critic of current border management policies. Regarding healthcare, she focuses on increasing affordability and has authored legislation to expand access for military veterans and their families. Additionally, she identifies as pro-life and a supporter of the Second Amendment, consistently voting in line with these values during her tenure in both state and federal office.
