Cory Mills

Cory Mills is a Republican U.S. Representative for Florida's 7th Congressional District, first elected in 2022. Born and raised in Central Florida, Mills served in the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division and was awarded the Bronze Star for his service as a sniper in Iraq. Following his military service, he worked for several years as a military contractor in Iraq and Afghanistan and later co-founded PACEM Solutions International and PACEM Defense, companies that provide security, tactical equipment, and training services. In 2020, Mills was appointed by the Trump administration to serve on the Defense Business Board. He holds an associate degree from Florida State College at Jacksonville and both a bachelor's and a master's degree from American Military University. In the House of Representatives, he serves on the Armed Services and Foreign Affairs Committees. He has also been noted for his private efforts to facilitate the evacuation of American citizens from Afghanistan in 2021 and Israel in 2023.

Mills identifies as an "America First" conservative, emphasizing national sovereignty and fiscal restraint. He is a strong proponent of border security, advocating for the completion of the U.S.-Mexico border wall and the implementation of stricter voter registration requirements, such as proof of citizenship. Economically, he supports reducing federal spending, cutting regulations, and expanding domestic oil and gas production to achieve energy independence. In foreign policy, Mills has expressed skepticism toward large foreign aid packages, voting against certain supplemental funding for Ukraine and Israel while citing concerns over accountability and national debt. He is a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment and holds a pro-life position on abortion issues. Additionally, he has frequently called for congressional oversight and accountability regarding the 2021 U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan.
