Marlin Stutzman

Marlin Andrew Stutzman is a Republican politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 3rd congressional district since January 2025, a seat he previously held from 2010 to 2017. A fourth-generation farmer and small business owner from Howe, Indiana, Stutzman began his political career in the Indiana House of Representatives at age 25, serving from 2003 to 2009. He subsequently served in the Indiana Senate from 2009 until his election to Congress in a 2010 special election. During his first tenure in the U.S. House, he was known for authoring the Conservative Congressional Budget and sponsoring the "Right to Try" legislation. Stutzman's professional background is deeply rooted in agriculture; he co-owns Stutzman Farms, a multi-thousand-acre operation, and has been involved in various business ventures including trucking and manufacturing. He attended Glen Oaks Community College and Trine University. After leaving Congress in 2017 to run for the U.S. Senate, he worked in the private sector as an entrepreneur before successfully running to reclaim his former House seat in the 2024 election. Throughout his career, Stutzman has maintained a focus on fiscal responsibility, regulatory reform, and the needs of Indiana's agricultural community.
