Tim Sheehy

Tim Sheehy is a United States Senator from Montana, representing the Republican Party. He was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2024, defeating three-term incumbent Jon Tester, and assumed office in January 2025. Born in Minnesota, Sheehy attended the United States Naval Academy, where he graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in history. He became a decorated Navy SEAL officer, serving in several combat deployments across Iraq, Afghanistan, and South America. His military honors include the Bronze Star with Valor and the Purple Heart. Following his military service, Sheehy settled in Montana and transitioned into the private sector as an entrepreneur. In 2014, he founded Bridger Aerospace, an aerial firefighting and wildfire management company, where he served as CEO until resigning to focus on his Senate campaign.
