Jefferson Shreve

Jefferson Shreve is a Republican businessman and politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Indiana's 6th Congressional District. He was first elected to Congress in 2024, succeeding retiring Representative Greg Pence, and assumed office in January 2025. Before his election to federal office, Shreve was the founder of Storage Express, a self-storage company he established in 1992 and grew into one of the largest regional operations in the Midwest before selling it in 2022. Shreve's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University, a Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of London, and an MBA in agribusiness from Purdue University. His prior political service includes two non-consecutive terms on the Indianapolis City-County Council and a run as the Republican nominee for Mayor of Indianapolis in 2023. He has also held leadership roles with the Indiana University Alumni Association and served on the executive committee of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce. In the House of Representatives, Shreve serves on the House Appropriations Committee.
