Robert Onder

Robert Onder is a Republican politician, physician, and attorney representing Missouri's 3rd Congressional District. First elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in November 2024, he assumed office in January 2025. He previously served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009 and the Missouri Senate from 2015 to 2023, where he was a founding member of the Conservative Caucus and served as Assistant Majority Floor Leader. Onder earned his undergraduate degree in Economics and Biology from Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine and a law degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law. Throughout his career in the Missouri legislature, Onder was known for his advocacy on fiscal and social issues. He authored the Missouri Heartbeat Bill in 2019 and led legislative efforts to implement constitutional carry and the Second Amendment Preservation Act. Professionally, he founded a medical practice specializing in allergy and asthma care in 1993 and has served as a principal investigator for clinical research. In Congress, he is a member of the Committees on the Judiciary, Transportation and Infrastructure, and Education and the Workforce.

On healthcare, he opposes the expansion of Medicaid and has consistently supported legislation to restrict abortion access, including the authorship of trigger laws.
