Brandon Gill

Brandon Gill is a Republican politician representing Texas's 26th congressional district in the U.S. House of Representatives. Elected in 2024, he assumed office in January 2025, becoming the youngest Republican member of the 119th Congress. Gill graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College in 2016 with degrees in economics and history. During his undergraduate years, he was active in conservative student media, serving as the president of The Dartmouth Review. His professional background prior to Congress includes experience as an investment banker on Wall Street and as an analyst at a global hedge fund. After his career in finance, Gill transitioned into the media sector, founding the conservative news website DC Enquirer. He also gained experience as a filmmaker and producer, collaborating on several documentary projects. Since taking office, he has been appointed to the House Judiciary, Budget, and Oversight Committees. He also serves as the Chairman of the Task Force on Defending Constitutional Rights and Exposing Institutional Abuses, a body focused on investigating federal programs and institutional practices.

Gill's legislative agenda is heavily focused on immigration and border security; he supports completing the U.S.-Mexico border wall, ending birthright citizenship, and codifying the 'Remain in Mexico' policy. Economically, he advocates for fiscal conservatism, including reducing federal spending, implementing a balanced budget amendment, and extending tax cuts to combat inflation. On energy, he promotes a 'Texas First' approach centered on increasing domestic oil and gas production and reducing regulatory hurdles. He also holds socially conservative views, identifying as pro-life and a staunch supporter of the Second Amendment, while opposing gender-affirming medical treatments for minors.
