Clay Fuller

Clayton McLean Fuller is a Republican politician and attorney serving as the U.S. Representative for Georgia's 14th congressional district. A native of North Georgia, he grew up in Helen and represents the eighth generation of his family to reside in the region. Fuller earned a Bachelor of Arts from Emory University in 2004, followed by a Master of Public Administration from Cornell University in 2006 and a Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University in 2009. He also holds a Master of Military Arts and Sciences from the Air Command and Staff College. His professional background includes service as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) officer in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and deployed to the Middle East in 2024. Fuller's civilian career was highlighted by his tenure as the District Attorney for the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit, a position he was appointed to by Governor Brian Kemp in 2023. During his time as a prosecutor, he gained a reputation for being tough on crime, securing convictions for violent offenses including murder and rape. He also served as a White House Fellow from 2018 to 2019, working within the Office of the Vice President and the Department of Defense on national security and counter-terrorism issues. Fuller was first elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in a special election on April 7, 2026, to succeed Marjorie Taylor Greene, and he was officially sworn into the 119th Congress on April 14, 2026.

Fuller is a fiscal conservative who emphasizes free-market principles and opposes corporate subsidies. On immigration, he advocates for the removal of undocumented immigrants and has introduced the SHIELD Citizens Act to bar non-citizens from accessing federal welfare programs. A proponent of the "America First" agenda, he maintains a close alignment with Donald Trump, from whom he received a key endorsement during his special election campaign. His legislative focus includes public safety, where he supports federal efforts to combat fentanyl trafficking, and the protection of Second Amendment rights, evidenced by his support for legislation barring the tracking of firearm purchases by financial institutions. Additionally, Fuller is a vocal supporter of school choice and the implementation of congressional term limits.
